| Citrix Resource Manager Certification Exam Objective and Test Prep Questions
General Information: The Citrix Resource Manager Certification Exam #911 contains 40 questions that are mapped to the objectives listed below. Not all sections are weighted evenly. The exam is one hour long unless taken in a language that is not the primary language of the country in which the exam is taken. In these cases an extra 30 minutes is provided. For example, if a candidate takes the English version of the exam in Germany they will have 90 minutes to complete the exam. Candidates should inform Prometric at registration if this situation applied to them. The passing score for the exam is 75, which equates to 30 questions answered correctly. No partial credit is awarded for any questions.
Candidates will be tested on their knowledge of MetaFrame XP. Features and functions of Windows 2000 with Terminal Services installed are not tested directly. The courses relating to this exam are CTX-2621 Citrix MetaFrame XPe Enterprise Management. This exam covers the following objectives:
1 Using Resource Manager
(a) List the features of Resource Manager
(b) Distinguish between system and application monitoring.
(c) Describe system and application metrics.
(d) State the system requirements of a Resource Manager installation.
(e) Install Resource Manager on a MetaFrame XPe server.
2 System and Application Monitoring
(a) Explain the different features of Resource Manager.
(b) Establish the metrics appropriate to monitor system activity.
(c) Describe real-time system and application monitoring.
(d) Configure alarm thresholds.
(e) Generate and interpret the System Snapshot, Current Process, User Activity Reports and Server Log.
(f) Configure and test one of the three alerts: E-mail, SNMP and SMS.
3 Troubleshooting Resource Manager
(a) Describe the relationship between ODBC drivers and MDAC.
(b) Explain causes of incorrect application counts.
(c) Demonstrate how to respond to a constant Alarm state.
(d) Diagnose issue using the Event Viewer.
(e) Configure a metric threshold, with E-Mail/SNMP/SMS on Green and/or E-Mail/SNMP/SMS on Red.
